you know what I dont like? When Im trying to explain what an anime is to people and they say; "oh, so it is a cartoon." NO it is not a CARTOON. there is a difference between anime and cartoons. First of all, cartoons are generally for younger people, like, 12 and under right? well, Anime is definetely NOT for viewers 10 and under. (even though you might be able to find an anime for young people, like this one; Lucky Star) why is it not for them? It just isnt. Take this anime for example; WARNING this opening contains swears, and the music aint pretty. I dont watch this anime, but I know people who do; Death Note. i am not saying that kids shouldnt watch it at ALL, its just that most of the animes are intended for older audiences. My favourite, however, One Piece is watched by all ages because it is one the more milder shows. Second; the animation has a huge difference from cartoons. Compare; My Gym Partner vs Naruto Shippuden
So there you have it. AND it is in Japanese, unless you watch the English Dub versions, but, they suck. Anime is much much much better than cartoons.
